Donald Carter is the owner and CEO of Copperstone Partners, an international life insurance advisory firm serving ultra-high net worth clients. He regularly speaks on estate planning, international tax, immigration, and Private Placement Life Insurance (PPLI).
Don started his career at CIGNA Financial Advisors (now Lincoln Financial Advisors) in 1983 and founded Copperstone Partners in 2001. Over three decades, he’s developed specialized strategies to help affluent individuals preserve, enhance, and transfer their wealth.
In the PPLI space, Don also leads Copperstone Partners IDF, a Multi Series Insurance Dedicated Fund that provides a “plug and play” solution for Registered Investment Advisors, offering clients a tax-efficient way to grow and access capital.
Since 2015, Don has served as Managing Director of CR Realty, overseeing an eco-friendly, sustainable resort development in Costa Rica that supports the local economy while protecting the environment.
Don holds FINRA series 2, 6, 22, 26, and 63 licenses and is a graduate of San Diego State University. He lives in Rancho Santa Fe, California with his wife and three children: Michele (27, Texas Tech graduate), Thomas (24, Texas Tech), and Elizabeth (19, University of Oklahoma). He’s active in the community through the Rancho Santa Fe SDSU Council, RSF Golf Nominating Committee, and various charitable causes. He’ll serve as Jefe for Los Ancianos starting in 2026.
Stacie Barba

Stacie Barba is the owner and publisher of San Diego Style Weddings magazine, the region’s premier wedding publication. When she took over the magazine, it had been a staple in the wedding industry for nearly 30 years. Under her leadership, San Diego Style Weddings underwent a successful relaunch, experiencing remarkable growth in just one year. Stacie takes pride in the magazine’s long-standing legacy as the only locally published wedding magazine with such longevity.
While the publication exudes a luxury feel, it inspires brides and grooms across all budgets. Beyond publishing, Stacie is also a dedicated real estate professional, specializing in properties throughout San Diego County.
Prior to owning San Diego Style Weddings, Stacie successfully ran A Day of Elegance, an event planning and rental company for nearly two decades. She worked with a diverse clientele, from teachers and doctors to NFL players and newscasters. She was event planner of the year two years in a row and worked on a TV news clips called “money matters.” Her rental company served esteemed venues such as the “Hotel del”, “Loews Coronado Bay Resort, and Hilton San Diego Mission Bay Resort.”
Earlier in her career, Stacie lived in New York City, where she was a manager at Nordstrom and contributed to the Dress for Success program, mentoring high school girls.
She also worked as a personal shopper for high-profile clients, including Ron Howard’s daughter’s and Kathie Lee Gifford.
Stacie’s professional background extends into the tech industry, where she worked as a Technical Project Manager for AT&T. She served as a liaison between Nortel Networks and Ericsson, traveling across the United States to oversee the implementation and testing of cellular sites. Notably, she was one of the managers sent to New York City in the aftermath of 9/11, playing a critical role in rebuilding the cellular infrastructure.
Stacie’s dynamic career, entrepreneurial spirit, and passion for excellence continue to shape her success in both the wedding and real estate industries.

Greg Jackey has spent 35 years in Wealth Management and Financial Planning. He has served as a board member for the non-profit Century Club and currently sits on the board of STEP (Support The Enlisted Project). In his spare time Greg enjoys golf and travel.
