Executive Board

Donald R. Carter

Chairman & CEO

Donald Carter is the owner and CEO of Copperstone Partners, an international life insurance advisory firm catering to ultra-high net worth clients. Mr. Carter lectured frequently on estate planning, international tax matters, immigration, and Private Placement Life Insurance, both domestically and internationally.
Mr. Carter’s career began at CIGNA Financial Advisors in 1983, which is currently known as Lincoln Financial Advisors. In 2001, he left Lincoln to create Copperstone Partners.
As owner and CEO of Copperstone Partners, Mr. Carter focuses on providing affluent individuals with sophisticated methods of preserving, enhancing and transferring their wealth. Over 30 years, Mr. Carter has developed a series of proprietary strategies in the areas of estate planning, business continuity planning, and life insurance analysis/design, applicable both domestically and internationally.
In the Private Placement Life Insurance (PPLI) space, Mr. Carter is also the owner and CEO of Copperstone Partners IDF, which is a Multi Series Insurance Dedicated Fund (IDF). The company is a service provider of a “plug and play” fund allowing Registered Investment Advisors to trade their clients’ accounts on behalf of PPLI contracts, offering a tax-efficient way for clients to grow and access their capital.
Mr. Carter is the Managing Director of CR Realty (development in Costa Rica). He took over this role in 2015, with the expectation of managing the partnership toward achieving the goals of its investors. CR’s goal is to create a development that is both Eco friendly, and a fully sustainable resort, while enhancing the economy for the locals, and not disrupting the environment.
Mr. Carter holds FINRA series 2, 6, 22, 26, and 63 licenses. He is a graduate of San Diego State University and lives in Rancho Santa Fe, California. He and his wife have 3 children, Michele, 27 years old, graduate of Texas Tech University, Thomas, 24 years old attended Texas Tech University and Elizabeth, 19 years old, attending the University of Oklahoma. Don is a member of the Rancho Santa Fe SDSU council, serves on the RSF Golf Nominating Committee and is involved with many charitable causes. He will serve as Jefe for Los Ancianos starting in 2026.

Stacie Braba

Stacie Barba is the owner and publisher of San Diego Style Weddings magazine, the region’s premier wedding publication. When she took over the magazine, it had been a staple in the wedding industry for nearly 30 years. Under her leadership, San Diego Style Weddings underwent a successful relaunch, experiencing remarkable growth in just one year. Stacie takes pride in the magazine’s long-standing legacy as the only locally published wedding magazine with such longevity. While the publication exudes a luxury feel, inspiring brides and grooms across all budgets. Beyond publishing, Stacie is also a dedicated real estate professional, specializing in properties throughout San Diego County. Prior to owning San Diego Style Weddings, Stacie successfully ran A Day of Elegance, an event planning and rental company for nearly two decades. She worked with a diverse clientele, from teachers and doctors to NFL players and newscasters. She was event planner of the year two years in a row and worked on a TV news clips called “money matters.” Her rental company serviced esteemed venues such as the “Hotel del”, “Loews Coronado Bay Resort, and Hilton San Diego Mission Bay Resort.” Earlier in her career, Stacie lived in New York City, where she was a manager at Nordstrom and contributed to the Dress for Success program, mentoring young high school girls. She also worked as a personal shopper for high-profile clients, including Ron Howard’s daughter’s and Kathie Lee Gifford. Stacie’s professional background extends into the tech industry, where she worked as a Technical Project Manager for AT&T. She served as a liaison between Nortel Networks and Ericsson, traveling across the United States to oversee the implementation and testing of cellular sites. Notably, she was one of the managers sent to New York City in the aftermath of 9/11, playing a critical role in rebuilding the cellular infrastructure. Stacie’s dynamic career, entrepreneurial spirit, and passion for excellence continue to shape her success in both the wedding and real estate industries.

Greg has spent 35 years in Wealth Management and Financial Planning. He has served as a board member for the non-profit Century Club and currently sits on the board of STEP (Support The Enlisted Project). In his spare time Greg enjoys golf and travel.

Steven is a Wealth Manager with over 30 years of experience with top Wall Street firms. He owns Cardiff Reef Wealth Management, Inc. As a California native, he loves golf, travel and volunteering.

Tim Cady is a successful co-owner of Advanced Diabetes Supply, a prominent company based in Carlsbad. With a strong commitment to education and a passion for giving back, he actively supports various charitable initiatives. As the newly appointed Chairman of Future Legends, Tim plans to leverage his business expertise to organize charity events and raise funds, empowering more students to achieve success in their academic and post-graduate endeavors.

Gail Kendall

Gail Kendall was employed 20 years with Ticketron; the last decade of which she served as Area Manager, San Diego. She is a founding member and officer of Future Legends; also, President of Community Concerts of RSF. Interests: Golf and fitness/weight training.
